What is OtakuFest?
Otakufest is the most anticipated cosplay and hobbies convention in the Visayas. It began as UP Otakufest: a passion project created by and for the geeks. Otakufest started in 2007 and since then has gone on to play a significant role in promoting the cosplay and hobbies culture to the Cebuano community.
OtakuFest attendance
Through the years that it has showcased a variety of hobbies while housing a diverse fan-driven entertainment for all, the Otakufest community has grown from a modest number of only 300 attendees during its first season, to over 9,000 enthusiastic congoers during their latest season in 2019.
