Wanderland Music & Arts Festival 2020

A 2-day affair filled with good music and live art awaits for all wanderers on March. Wanderland Music & Arts Festival is happening on March 7 and 8 at Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang.

The organizers of Wanderland 2020 are pushing through and has released its schedule despite several cancellations from artists.

“We wander. We win” is the theme for this year’s festival.

Who are the artists on the Wanderland 2020 lineup?

Wanderland has always been fondly known for its careful selection of performers. This year, English rock band Foals and Australian singer-songwriter Nick Murphy (formerly known as Chet Faker) will be headlining the first day of the festival on March 7.

They will be joined by Ben&Ben, Omar Apollo, Ali Gatie, August Wahh & CRWN, Ysanygo, and Morobe, The Paper Kites, Urbandub, Barbie Almalbis, and Cosmo’s Midnight.

On the second day, March 8, headlining are Japanese singer Joji and Indonesian singer-songwriter NIKI. The rest of the lineup include IV of Spades, (((O))), Stephen Day, George, Flu, Banna Harbera, The Sundown, and No Rome.

Wanderland 2020 carrying on despite cancelations

Karpos Multimedia, the team behind the annual music festival, posted in a statement on Twitter on February 18 that Wanderland 2020 is still happening despite previous cancellations by artists Bruno Major, Novo Amor, Sabrina Claudio, Ari Lennox, and Raveena.

 “Wanderland has made this our story to tell—that in all aspects, our entire team strives to make every second weekend of March better than the last through a year’s worth of planning an event that has turned into a tradition to many of you,” said the organizers.

The Wanderland team promised to give the best experience to this year’s “wanderers.”

“Behind the scenes, we make it our goal to bring you the best experience possible, from the artists we bring to Wanderland, to the things you read/see online. You can say we are equally as passionate as the loyal Wanderers who have seen the festival grow bigger and bigger each year.”

As Wanderland is also an arts festival, there will be live art performances by Faith de Leos, Alagadngsining, Amiel Rivera, and Wika Nadera.

Gates open at 1PM. Wanderers are strictly prohibited from leaving the premises since no re-entry will be allowed.

Wanderland 2020 and the COVID-19 outbreak

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the organizers have implemented safety measures regarding during the festival.

“As Wanderland draws near, we understand the growing concern about COVID-19 (formerly nCOV 2019) and are constantly monitoring the situation to ensure that you, Wanderers, are at top priority.

Festival-goers can expect health and safety measures prescribed by professionals on the event grounds. Wearing of face masks are also encouraged, but not required. We ask for your full cooperation as we continue to make Wanderland a safe space.”

Those who wished to cancel their Wanderland tickets and get their refund were catered to by the organizers from February 25-27.
